I've noticed on here, and other forums, that people seem to have a problem posting up their pics. Below is a brief set of instructions which might be of use to you......
Firstly - The image size can be an issue - a camera (RAW) picture can be sized about 3000px x 2000px or so, so is way too large to be posting on a forum page, this needs to be shrunk to a max size of 640px x 480px realistically.
To shrink an image is quite simple, if you have the tools, and we find that the Window Image Resizer works simply and easily for most people.
This LINK is for the Windows 7 version of Image Resizer, with some instructions on how to use: http://www.comspeccomputers.co.uk/index ... ows-7.html
Note - if you use TinyPic to host, as per below, it gives an option to resize your picture for you......so you don't need to worry about the resizer software
To embed an image into your forum post, you firstly need to 'host' the image somewhere online.
The simplest way (since most people don't have online space of their own) is to use something like Tinypic (or photobucket, etc)
To add your image to Tinypic:
- Go to http://tinypic.com/
- Upload your image.
- Copy and paste the code that says : IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards
- Your image will then be displayed inside your post.....something like the example below
And the pic will then display like the example below:
