Thankyou Andy, are pigeons OK to go straight into a second round or would it be better to give them a break and put fake eggs under and breed again on 3rd round?. I only have 6 pair I'm breeding off and would like 24 ybs so will need to do at least 2 rounds.
See at what stage the hen lays again, it might be that she doesn't lay again until after the youngsters are weaned. They do tend to be a bit slower to go back down on eggs at this time of year compared to later on. But as trench and George say if you want to give them a break then leave them to sit 10 days.
